Feminist theology is a movement found in several religions, including Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, and New Thought, to reconsider the traditions, practices, scriptures, and theologies of those religions from a feminist perspective. Some of the goals of feminist theology include increasing the role of women among the clergy and religious authorities, reinterpreting male-dominated imagery and language about God, determining women's place in relation to career and motherhood, and studying images of women in the religion's sacred texts.

Feminists have attempted to counter perceptions of women as morally or spiritually inferior to men; as a source of sexual temptation; as dedicated to childbearing, their homes, and husbands; and as having a lesser role in religious ritual or leadership because of such inferiority or dedication.

Obama's Pastor & Black Liberation Theology (A Blog Response) Please state your thoughts?
Q. Black Liberation Theology is not the only Liberation Theology movement among minorities. Blk Liberation assumes Blk people speaking for themselves as in the case of Feminist Liberation Theology, Asian Liberation Theology and (the most popular) Latin Liberation Theology. Most accuse Liberation Theology of having Marxist overtones or suggestions but I have not found that to be true. Most Liberation Theology movements are really "voices from the margins of society" who speak directly to a people who experience systematic, racial, gender discrimination or biases. (Some Evangelical Scholars make the case that Liberation Theologies are reactionary movements, I still disagree with that). (Here is the major point) Most of what we consider… [cont.]

A. Well I didn't see the interview, I rarely watch FOX news. I did study journalism and frankly Fox news just enrages me, especially with them constantly saying "fair and balnaced" that is like Mcdonald's advertising their food as a way to slim down. As far as Black Lib. Theology, Im a bit of an agnostic. Not really into the Church thing, and maybe it is becuase of Black Lib theology. I find it peculiar that the liberation that they speak of is political and economic liberation as opposed to spiritual.

A. Probably because they've actually taken the time to look at the evidence, unlike the radio talk show hosts who never have the time to actually look at the thousands of pieces of evidence, but have the audacity to call us kool-aid drinkers when we don't agree. The real kool-aid drinkers are the ones who follow blindly, never questioning the government. The truth will be told!
