Can I use a 12 v ac adapter to power a 10 v electronic device?
Q. My bf has a video game chair which is basically like a mini home theater system, and he broke the ac plug which said 10 v on it. The only replacements we have are 9 or 12 v. I know we can go through the company to get one, but what I really wanna know is: is it safe to use the 12 v on it for now? Thanks for the help!

A. It depends on the tolerance of the circuit. Some will have a voltage regulator which will be rated for a range of voltages but without looking at a schematic of the device no one can say for certain. You would be safer trying something of a lower voltage than a higher voltage so your 9v adapter MAY be a contender. There are actually THREE things to look for (aside from plug size) in an adapter: Volts Current (in mA or A and yes equal or higher is okay) DC or AC and if DC making sure the polarity is the same! There are such things as wall transformers with 10VAC output. You wouldn't want to use an adapter with DC out at any current or voltage rating in to a device which requires AC or vice versa. What nursing scrub design should nurses wear besides the v-neck nursing scrubs?
Q. i was kinda curious why nurses wear those v-neck nursing scrubs. maybe it's time to break the monotony and give in to other styles of nursing scrubs. so, what do you think?

A. They wear them because they are the most widely available and usually cheaper than the others. Also, depending on where they work, uniform styles may be dictated by the hospital's dress code. Where I work, all ER nurses must wear a color called ciel blue. We can wear either dresses or scrub pants and tops. We may wear a white sweater or lab coat and white socks or hosiery and white shoes. Other departments wear other colors. Nurses outside the hospital environment usually have a wider choice of colors/patterns/styles that are acceptable and visiting nurses often wear street clothes.
